Face lifts no longer have to have a long recovery time. Cosmetic surgery is a very popular avenue for personal enhancement, as demonstrated by the 11.9 million cosmetic procedures performed in the US alone in 2009. As for any operation, cosmetic procedures involve risk, and should therefore not be undertaken lightly. In the past, getting a face lift meant a full surgery with weeks needed to recover, but now the face lift has become faster.
